Clinical Instructor - Practical Nursing (Part-time)

We are seeking a dedicated part‑time clinical faculty member for our nursing program. This role involves teaching practical nursing students and providing hands‑on clinical instruction within the Washington, NC area. • BSN from a regionally accredited institution plus at least two years of clinical nursing experience.
• Medical‑Surgical and/or long‑term care experience.
• Willingness to meet the NCBON Rules regarding Part‑Time Nursing Faculty.
• Prior to or within the first three years of employment, completion of education in teaching, learning principles for adult education, curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation. This can be demonstrated by:
  • (A) 45 contact hours of Board‑approved continuing education courses;
  • (B) completion of a certificate program in nursing education;
  • (C) Nine semester hours of graduate coursework in adult learning and principles;
  • (D) National certification in nursing education;
  • (E) Documentation of completion of structured, individualized development activities of at least 45 contact hours approved by the Board, covering curriculum implementation, objectives, student strategies, and performance expectations;
  • (F) Prior teaching experience in an academic setting (evaluated by the Program Director).

• MSN from a regionally accredited institution.
• Experience in Med‑Surgical (general, intermediate, critical care), long‑term care, home health/hospice, or pediatrics.

• Collaborate with the lead instructor to plan and evaluate the course and clinical experience.
• Orient students to their assigned clinical unit.
• Design and assign clinical activities aligned with course objectives.
• Evaluate student clinical performance.
