PRIMARY FUNCTIONTo provide training for entry‑level service technicians for Gregory Poole Equip Co throughout North Carolina. Students will develop skills to be productive with limited on‑the‑job training following graduation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIESAttend FDTC on a rigorous 22‑month schedule while also working for a local GPEC facility during semester breaks. Prerequisites for entrance into this program: interview with program advisor, director, or sponsor; minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation:
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
Physical:
- Must pass mandated company physical/drug screen and background check.
Other:
- Complete all required courses specified in the curriculum.
- Fulfill all financial obligations to the College.
- Achieve a Graduation GPA of 2.0 for all courses presented as meeting a program's course requirements.
- Earn at least 25 percent of the total credit hours of his/her curriculum eptions can be made only by the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required for continuation in and graduation from the Caterpillar Dealer Service Technician Program.
