ECU Health Beaufort Hospital is seeking a dedicated Food Service Aide to support our patient care team. The role involves preparing and serving meals, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and ensuring accurate dietary records.
Position SummaryThe Food Service Aide is responsible for setting up the serving line, serving correct food portions to clients, cleaning and sanitizing the work area, and maintaining Health Touch and other communication devices. The aide records diet changes, answers the telephone, relays information, prepares patient menu requests for distribution and tally, and delivers nourishment. Cash handling may be required, and the aide must follow company cash handling procedures to maintain effective control of cash.
Minimum Requirements- Ability to read, understand, and follow recipe directions, diet orders, and work assignments.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Must comply with any dress code requirement.
- Must maintain a high standard for work area and appearance.
- Must maintain a positive attitude.
- Full time with benefits – 40 hours per week.
- Rotating shift.
- Rotating weekends and holidays.
ECU Health Beaufort Hospital is a 142‑bed full‑service hospital located in Washington, NC. It is a campus of ECU Health Medical Center and has earned national designation as a Primary Stroke Center. The hospital features a 16‑bed emergency department, a Marian L. Shepard Cancer Center, general medical and surgical services, an operative services wing, a women’s birthing center, rehabilitation services, and outpatient clinics.
