Dr Jitendra Swarup and the vision care experts at Albemarle Eye Center provide a wide range of ophthalmic services in the Edenton, Elizabeth City, Kinston, Kitty Hawk, and Washington locations. We offer LASIK laser eye surgery, Len Sx® Laser Cataract Removal, oculoplastics, glaucoma treatment, in addition to routine eye exams and contact lens fittings. We are seeking a full‑time Ophthalmic Technician who is self‑motivated and has a strong work ethic to join our successful surgical practice. Candidates must possess a positive professional attitude, ability to develop strong connections with our patients, treat patients with warmth and empathy, be team oriented and demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and apply complex concepts to their daily work.

The right candidate will possess skills of an Ophthalmic Technician and will have experience in scribing, patient work‑up, vision testing, refracting, medical terminology, assisting the physician in the room, visual field and OCT testing.

• Experience with in a professional environment with a strong customer service focus
• Previous experience within the medical field (preferred)
• High school or equivalent education

• This is a full‑time position located within eastern North Carolina
• Travel to all AEC locations is required (Kinston NC, Washington NC, Elizabeth City NC, and Kitty Hawk NC)
