Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (ED) at ECU Health provides compassionate, evidence‑based emergency care to patients and families in a fast‑paced environment. The RN will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, and deliver high‑quality nursing care in accordance with state and professional standards.
Position Summary- Provide nursing care in accordance with the North Carolina Board of Nursing—Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, and other regulatory bodies.
- Coordinate nursing care, including collection and analysis of assessment data, identification of expected outcomes, development of a plan of care, and implementation of interventions in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Promote and evaluate the effective functioning of the health care team; collaborate with team members to meet the identified needs of the patient/family throughout the episode of care. Delegate tasks and activities as appropriate and in accordance with the NC Nurse Practice Act.
- Diploma in Nursing, Associate’s in Nursing, or higher.
- Current NC RN license or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state.
- Active AHA Basic Life Support certification.
Starting base rate: $33/hr; $30K Commitment Incentive.
- Location/Department: ECU Health Beaufort (Washington, NC) – Emergency Department (16 beds)
- Full‑time, 36 hrs/week, mid shift (1 pm‑1 am or 11 am‑11 pm) with rotating holidays and weekends.
