Maintenance Technician

Perform installation, repair and maintenance on all equipment in the facility. Also responsible for facility maintenance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Perform installation, repair and maintenance following verbal and written instructions, reference materials and standard procedures adhering to company, local and state standards.

* Ensure that all equipment is repaired and maintained to ensure the highest safety standards.

* Provide general maintenance department assistance. Be a team player.

* Detect and report faulty operations, materials and working conditions to supervisor.

* Use safety equipment as instructed. Follow safety regulations and company policies.

* Maintain work areas, equipment and tools in a clean and orderly condition. Ensure repair areas have been cleaned of all waste and tooling before returning equipment back to the operator.

* Perform other duties and cross-train as required or assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

* Requires technical school training and/or comparable experience.

* Requires the ability to operate forklift and material handling equipment.

* Knowledge of company procedures for storage, handling and shipment of hazardous waste to comply with government regulations. Training will be included upon assignment to such duties.

* General working knowledge of all aspects of industrial maintenance. Good mechanical and construction aptitude.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

* Physical fitness to perform all job functions of the designated work area, including any and all maintenance and heavy lifting assignments.

* The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
