The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct basic nursing care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The individualized plan includes meeting patients’ routine care needs and providing comfort measures. The CNA communicates changes in patient care needs or concerns directly to the supervising licensed nurse.

• Receives Orders:
  Receives patient assignment from supervising clinical team member.
• Setup / Preparation:
  Prepares equipment and supplies for patient care related to ADL's.
• Care Provided:
  Assists in ambulation, bathing, oral hygiene, pressure relief or other ADL's as appropriate.
• Quality of Care:
  Reports on patient abnormalities or injuries to the supervising clinical team member in a timely manner.
• Documentation of Care:
  Completes documentation for care provided as well as vitals, intake/outtake, or any other specialty patient care data in accordance with department policy.
• Other Duties As Assigned:
  Completes other duties as assigned including but not limited to supply stocking, checking outdates and organizing equipment and supply areas.

High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED). Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program. At least six (6) months recent patient care experience preferred. Knowledge of Medical Terminology. Proficient in providing age-specific basic nursing care. Current Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS HCP) verification.

CNA certification required in the State of Washington.
