Electrician

Position: Electrician- (Full-Time)
Description:

_Join our dedicated Facilities Management team as a full-time Electrician, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining safe and efficient electrical systems across all areas of the hospital and affiliated offsite locations. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule with opportunities for overtime and occasional on-call responsibilities, supporting critical healthcare operations in a dynamic environment._

Responsibilities:

+ Inspect, install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment across hospital sites.

+ Communicate effectively with the Maintenance & Operations team to support hospital operations.

+ Demonstrate competency in technical skills and procedures as required by UPMC Washington standards.

+ Adhere to hospital policies, safety regulations, and external accreditation requirements.

+ Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines in all work-related activities.

+ Document work accurately using established protocols and electronic systems.

+ Participate in departmental meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

+ Collaborate with staff, patients, and families to support patient-centered care.

+ Contribute to process improvement efforts and service excellence initiatives.

+ Support onboarding of new staff and foster positive working relationships across departments.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday; 7AM.

- 3:30PM. There will be some local travel between sites. Must be able to work other shifts/days, if needed at times.

+ High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

+ Journeyman Electrician (served as apprenticeship) or Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Trade School Graduate required.

+ Three (3) years' experience as an electrician in Industrial, Institutional, or Construction work activities required.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

+ Valid driver's license required without any MVR Violations during recent time period specified by UPMC Washington automobile insurance carrier

+ Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

+ Driver's License

+ Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal

+ Act 33 with renewal

+ Act 34 with renewal

+ Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
