Primary Purpose of PositionPerforms quality‑related inspection, record‑keeping, testing, analysis, and reporting activities to ensure ICE products meet customer specifications and quality standards in a manufacturing environment. Provides support in maintaining the Quality Management System.
Requirements- Inspection with calipers and micrometers
- Demonstrate flexibility in a dynamic work environment
- Work and collaborate with Composite Technicians
- Computer skills
- Be a thorough, independent worker
- Performs inspections with the use of gauge blocks, height gauges, calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Operates technical inspection equipment (i.e., Faro arm, Instron, etc.) and generates formal inspection reports
- Creates and maintains records for handling nonconforming product and materials
- Performs inspections of incoming materials and components to ensure conformance to acceptance criteria
- Supports effort to maintain Quality Management System (ISO 9000 and AS9100) by collecting, organizing, and presenting quality data
- Implementing corrective actions and process improvements
- Assist in root‑cause analyses of quality problems
- Supports programs that assist manufacturing in consistent quality improvement effort
- Assists in training personnel as directed
- Works with suppliers and customers as directed
- Works on various assigned quality projects
- Demonstrated proficiency in Excel
- Familiar with statistical methods/SPC
- Manage job stress and interact effectively with others
- Demonstrate leadership skills
- Utilize strong organizational skills
- Perform detail‑oriented functions
- Prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Function independently as well as part of a team
- Suite applications and navigate through a local area computer network
Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
Continue education and attend quality training, as well as basic skills to utilize MS Office.
