Summary of Position

The Cook is responsible for receiving, storing, and preparing all food products according to Boston’s specifications. The Cook maintains proper levels of prepared products and handles assembly, cooking, plating, and garnishing of menu items. The role includes controlling products leaving the kitchen and maintaining a clean workspace.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Business Affairs: Ensure all products are prepared according to Boston’s standards, maintaining high-quality presentation. Maintain control over food issuance, ensuring proper accounting. Uphold professional image and uniforms. Assist in training new team members. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and perform other duties as required.
  • Purchasing / Product Quality / Knowledge: Ensure received products meet specifications, are correctly invoiced, dated, rotated, and stored. Use standard recipes and methods for consistency. Prepare guest meals timely, maintaining ticket time standards.
  • Safety & Sanitation: Prioritize health and safety, maintaining cleanliness per standards. Follow food safety practices, control time and temperature, ensure proper labeling and dating, and maintain equipment according to schedules.
