The Line Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food in a fast-paced kitchen environment, following standardized recipes and presentation guidelines. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely and consistent meal service. The Line Cook maintains a clean and organized workstation, adheres to food safety standards, and contributes to a positive kitchen culture.

• Prepare ingredients by chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces.
• Ensures all prep is done according to recipes and portion standards. Work in close liaison with chef.
• Cooking and Assembling Dishes - Cooks menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff. Assembles dishes with attention to presentation and quality.
• Maintains a clean and organized workstation.
• Follows sanitation and safety procedures to ensure a hygienic kitchen environment.
• Must be willing to work with both the Back of House and Front of House teams.

• Must become knowledgeable of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities & services
• Other duties as assigned

License/

Certifications:

Idaho Food Safety Certification is preferred

Technical: Knife skills

Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift. Will lift up to 25lbs frequently up to 50lbs occasionally. Exposed to fumes, odors, mechanical and burn hazards.
