Overview

PM Line Cook II | Friday Harbor House. Create menu magic and make hungry people happy. Showcase your skills by providing daily preparation requirements while working together with the culinary team to ensure quality and constancy of food items. Line Cook II is responsible for the grill and pantry station for dinner service, reading and interpreting recipes, conducting inventory of mise en place, and adhering to standards for sanitation and safe food handling procedures.

The Nitty Gritty

• Previous cooking experience required
• Ability to cook meats to proper temperature to order
• Necessary State Food Handler’s License(s)
• Ability to read and comprehend recipes, simple instruction, short correspondence and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
• Must possess knife skills, the ability to adjust preparations for flavor, and accommodate customer’s needs in a timely manner.

Each of the 24 guestrooms and suites at Friday Harbor House, most newly updated, feature a king bed, fireplace, oversized jetted bathtub, and many feature breathtaking views. The restaurant at Friday Harbor House features an array of fresh fare from the local waters and farms, showcasing a seasonal Island dining experience.
