Position Title
Plant Sales
Job DescriptionProtingent Staffing has an exciting direct hire Plant Sales opportunity.
Job Responsibilities- Prepare proposals:
- Knowledgeable in technical equipment sizing programs.
- Research materials of equipment fabrication, assess availability and cost.
- Experience in gathering cost of both; raw material (Steel plate, castings etc.) and equipment (Valves, instruments, pumps, etc.) required.
- Make personal sales calls to end users and related agencies around the world.
- Negotiate sales contracts with prospective customers.
- Promptly report contract information to Company with a detailed report and conduct project kick off meetings.
- Answer all inquiries from customer quotations assigned.
- Coordinate, participate in and attend area seminars, exhibitions and trade shows.
- Obtain information on market trends around the world.
- Obtain market information to identify and contact potential future customers.
- Obtain market information on competitors including their product offerings, pricing and business methods.
- Develop local contacts for sales support activities including translation, introductions and negotiations.
- Host visiting delegations for sales purposes.
- All other duties as assigned by the VP of Sales and Marketing.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college in Engineering, preferably Chemical Engineering.
- Five years’ experience in design or operations.
- Detailed Knowledge of and customer contacts assigned.
- Ability to rapidly and thoroughly learn the technical details of Company's equipment and processes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to relate to people from other cultures.
- Knowledge of and ability to function effectively in other cultures, language skills are a plus.
- Proven negotiating skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally for up to 20 weeks per year.
- Ability to utilize computer systems for costing, proposal and contract preparation.
- Knowledge of MS Word, Access, Excel, MS Project.
- Job Type: Direct Hire
- Salary Range: $95k - $125K
- Location:
Seattle, WA. - Export control regulations require candidates to be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Legal Permanent Resident, or of a protected person status.
