Must have at least 3 years of overall welding experience including bridge construction experience.
Responsibilities- Report each day on time and ready to work
- Ensure reliable transportation to jobsite
- Ensure project safety rules and environmental regulations are followed at all times
- Primary function is to fabricate substructure and superstructure of bridges and temporary work bridges
- Welding, cutting, and fabricating attachments to piling according to construction drawings.
- Uses welding machines, cutting torches, power saws, chain saws, metal cutting saws, come-a-longs, power wrenches, and hand/power tools.
- May perform other duties including precision cutting in demolition of work bridges.
- May perform general carpenter work.
- Knowledge of pile hammers, vibratory hammers and cranes are required as well as knowledge of welds and types of welds, and rigging.
- Must be comfortable working at heights.
- Ability to access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.
- Ability to travel and relocate within Oregon as required.
- $30-$45/hour depending upon project, location and experience.
