We are seeking a skilled, hands‑on Maintenance Technician with strong electrical experience and exceptional troubleshooting skills. This role is ideal for someone who can confidently diagnose equipment issues, assess unfamiliar machinery, and develop a plan to complete repairs safely and effectively. You will have support from the onsite team and the company's maintenance team, but success in this position requires initiative, critical thinking, and the ability to work through problems independently.
What You’ll Do:- Perform electrical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on industrial machinery and equipment.
- Assess unfamiliar machines and equipment, identify potential issues, and develop an effective plan of action for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Diagnose electrical faults, trace circuits, and identify the root cause of equipment malfunctions.
- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and equipment inspections to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems as needed.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Determine the appropriate tools, materials, and repair methods needed to resolve equipment issues.
- Collaborate with the onsite team and company maintenance team to troubleshoot complex issues, coordinate repairs, and share technical knowledge.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment concerns and repair progress.
- Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Competitive pay based on experience.
- Support from both the onsite team and the company's maintenance team.
- An opportunity to apply your electrical and troubleshooting expertise to a variety of equipment.
- A hands‑on role that offers opportunities to solve problems, learn new machinery, and expand your technical skills.
- The opportunity to make a direct impact on equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Solid electrical experience is essential.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Experience identifying the root cause of electrical and equipment failures rather than simply replacing parts.
- The ability to assess unfamiliar machinery, think critically, and develop a logical plan for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Confidence working through problems when equipment documentation or prior experience with a specific machine may be limited.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a working knowledge of industrial equipment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with onsite personnel and the company's maintenance team.
- Strong electrical experience and proven troubleshooting ability.
- A problem‑solving mindset:
You must be able to assess a situation, determine what needs to be done, and develop a plan to address the issue. - Adaptability:
You will likely encounter machines and equipment you have not worked on before, so you must be comfortable learning unfamiliar systems and figuring out how to approach repairs. - Independent thinking:
Ability to take initiative and work through technical challenges while knowing when to ask for support. - Safety first:
Follow proper electrical safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and applicable safe work practices. - Reliability, attention to detail, and effective communication.
- Previous industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
- Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical systems, motor controls, sensors, relays, contractors, and control circuits.
- Familiarity with PLCs, control panels, motor drives, and automated equipment.
- Experience reading electrical schematics and using electrical testing equipment, such as a multimeter.
- Mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting experience.
- Experience developing preventative maintenance plans and diagnosing recurring equipment failures.
- Technical training, electrical certifications, or relevant trade experience.
