Wellpinit School District Coaching Job Description

At the Wellpinit School District we focus on hiring coaches who:

● Create an athletics experience that inspires players to work hard, compete fearlessly and

have fun

● Model excellent character and uphold their athletes to the highest standards of

sportsmanship

● Build a supportive team culture

● Possess a strong technical and strategic understanding of their sport

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

● Model and inspire essential team concepts of dedication, responsibility, teamwork, and

sportsmanship.

● Generate enthusiasm and pride among students in the program.

● Demonstrate the ability to teach skills and strategies associated with the game at this

level.

● Engage with student-athletes, colleagues, parents, opponents, referees, etc. with respect

and positivity.

● Philosophical alignment with striving to win while promoting the bigger picture of

character, commitment, and team supportiveness.

● Attend staff training, coaching clinics, and league coaching meetings..

● Work as a collaborative member of the program on planning, organizing, coaching, and

developing the program and players.

● Know and adhere to Wellpinit School District, Northeast 1B League, and WIAA policies

and procedures.

The Wellpinit Athletic Department wants to build and nurture character, integrity,

diligence and honesty in every student-athlete. The Wellpinit School District athletic

programs strive to provide the student-athletes with the necessary preparation and

coaching to win not only on the field of competition and in the classroom, but in life as well.

Minimum Qualifications:

Expertise and experience coaching Basketball, preferably at the high

school level or above. First Aid/CPR training, sudden cardiac arrest training, and head injury

training are current (training provided, if needed).Coaching Resume, Letter of interest, that ties

into the Wellpinit School District’s Athletic Department’s Vision Statement, 2 Letters of

recommendation and Successful completion of background check.
