• Compensation: $40.89 – $40.89/hour

- 5-8 years experience in rail operations, yard management, or related fields
- Valid Locomotive Engineer Certification required
- Strong knowledge of railroad operations, signaling, and safety regulations
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in fast‑paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; commitment to safety
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays as needed
- Operate locomotives and yard equipment to move railcars within the yard and to/from various locations
- Maintain yard operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulations
- Direct and operate train movements, including coupling/uncoupling cars, connecting air hoses, throwing switches
- Conduct routine inspections of locomotives and railcars to ensure operational and safety standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, coordinating with relevant departments
- Maintain accurate records of train movements, inspections, and maintenance; document incidents
- Participate in training programs to stay updated on industry best practices and regulations
- Pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections; identify and report defects
- Position may require call‑back availability based on operational needs
- Lift/move up to 70 lbs
- Reach, kneel, walk, stand; use repetitive motion for several hours
- Repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, walking; standing/sitting for several hours; climbing stairs
- Work effectively under pressure for extended periods
- Valid state driver’s license; ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance
- REAL‑‑compliant driver’s license or acceptable alternative (U.S. passport, military ) for federal installation access
- Obtain and maintain applicable security clearances; background check and E-Verify will be conducted
