The Painter is responsible for painting routines that include but are not limited to painting of patient rooms, offices, and public areas. This is always done ensuring a safe and risk preventive environment within regulating guidelines of OSHA, NJDOH, NJDOA, and the Joint Commission.

Qualifications EducationHigh School Graduate/GED preferred
Experience1–3 years of related work experience
Required skills- Knowledge of basic painting duties.
- Knowledge of emergency code procedures.
- Knowledge of risk and safety precautions.
- Skill in organizing and prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work per diem as needed.
- Ability to properly respond to exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds may be required without assistance.
- Ability to work under any weather conditions inside or out without regard for temperature, anytime of the day or night.
- Ability to use hands in the performance of painting duties and the use of painting equipment.
- Ability to read, write and follow simple instructions.
Job Duties
Keep painting supplies and equipment safely stored when not in use and away from patient access when in use.
Assist in assuring a safe and risk preventive environment.
Adhere to facility, department, corporate, personnel and standard policies and procedures.
Maintain confidentiality of facility employees and patient information.
Assist Director of Plant Operations as needed.
