Salary: Up to £15.50 hourly rate (based on experience).

OverviewWe’re looking for a skilled Panel Wireman / Electrical Fitter to join our workshop team in Washington. With a competitive hourly rate of up to £15.50 (negotiable based on experience), this hands‑on role is ideal for someone with a meticulous eye for detail, strong electrical knowledge, and a commitment to quality.
You’ll be responsible for assembling and wiring control panels to a high standard, interpreting electrical drawings, and contributing to the delivery of high‑voltage and industrial systems.
The RoleAs a Panel Wireman/Electrical Fitter, you will:
- Build and wire control panels from detailed electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Accurately mount equipment and complete neat, methodical wiring
- Carry out basic mechanical tasks including drilling, tapping, and assembly work
- Fit and install components such as 33kV switches, reactors, and capacitors
- Support testing and inspection processes in preparation for FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing)
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults
- Maintain a tidy and safe workspace, adhering to workshop protocols
- Collaborate with wider engineering teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Proven experience in electrical panel building or electrical fitting
- Ability to confidently read and work from schematics and technical drawings
- High attention to detail and a pride in delivering precise, tidy work
- Good verbal communication and teamwork skills
Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently - Willingness to be flexible and support overtime when required
- Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
- Friday: 8:00am – 1:00pm (early finish)
- Hourly rate:
