Seasonal Business Tax Associate – Intuit

In this role you will provide expert guidance, tax preparation, and clear explanations of tax terms to customers using Intuit Turbo Tax Business products. You will help shape one of our newest product offerings, Turbo Tax Live Business, while working in the #11 ranked Fortune company. Successful candidates will manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations, applying strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
WhatYou Will Do
- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential, and proprietary business information responsibly.
- Use government websites, professional resources and team expertise to provide the right answer using everyday language.
- Interact with customers via video communication software (Smartlook).
- Provide tax advice, full‑service return preparation, signature, and product/software inquiries.
- Manage tax calculations and filing of extensions.
- Document customer interactions and apply company policies to troubleshoot issues.
- Work toward meeting company key performance metrics and Big Bet Goals.
- Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed.
- 3+ years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120‑S) for at least 20 clients per season using commercial tax preparation software.
- Minimum 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with at least 30 returns per year in a tax practice or retail setting.
- Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, spread across three or more days.
- Bookkeeping experience with books‑to‑tax preparation strongly preferred.
- Experience preparing Business Tax returns for service‑industry customers strongly preferred.
- Current or obtainable state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
- Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
- Knowledge of Circular 230.
- Proficiency with technology and solid computer operations skills.
- Strong customer service skills; professional, friendly, confident interaction via video and audio tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking, problem solving, research skills, and determination.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Reliable internet connection meeting Intuit Security criteria.
- Residency in the United States.
Expected Base Pay Range – location based (examples include Bay Area $31.10‑$35.50, Colorado $29.60‑$34.10, New York $31.10‑$35.50). This position is eligible for cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits in accordance with Intuit plans and programs. Pay is based on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. Intuit conducts regular pay equity comparisons across ethnicity and gender.
