Bookkeeper Position

We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to support a construction-focused business in Washougal, Washington on a Contract assignment expected to last at least six weeks. This position is ideal for someone who is confident managing day-to-day accounting functions, handling multi-state payroll, and keeping financial records accurate and up to date. The role offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute across bookkeeping, reporting, and administrative finance activities in a fast-paced small company environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily bookkeeping activities, including accurate entry of financial transactions and maintenance of organized accounting records.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable while ensuring invoices, payments, and customer balances are tracked correctly.
• Run payroll for employees working in Oregon, Washington, and California, including compliance with prevailing wage requirements.
• Prepare certified payroll documentation and complete prevailing wage reporting in accordance with project and regulatory standards.
• Reconcile bank accounts and review financial data to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate ledgers.
• Compile and submit quarterly city and state filings, ensuring reports are completed on time and with reliable supporting information.
• Maintain spreadsheets, employee records, and fleet-related files to support accounting accuracy and operational organization.
• Assist with a range of finance and administrative tasks as needed in support of the company's ongoing construction and trucking operations.
