Job SummaryThis position performs engineering duties in planning, designing, and overseeing construction activities.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering Management, Civil or related field.
- 1–3 years as a Field Engineer in the construction industry.
- Heavy Civil/Infrastructure experience preferred.
- Proficient with AutoCAD, Blue Beam, Heavy Bid, Heavy Job, MS Project or P6, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Use logic and reason to evaluate alternative solutions.
- Apply mathematics and scientific methods to solve problems.
- Determine required tools and equipment for projects.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, telephone, email, presentations).
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills; foster relationships at all levels.
- Work under pressure to meet goals; creative problem‑solving.
- Multi‑task, prioritize, work independently and in teams under tight deadlines.
- Collaborate effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, plans, specifications, contractual documents, aerial photography, and other data to plan projects.
- Estimate quantities and costs of materials, equipment, or labor to determine feasibility.
- Plan and design temporary structures according to standards and use design software.
- Compute load and grade requirements, water flow rates, and material stress factors.
- Develop work and hazard analysis plans for crews.
- Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design, safety, and productivity goals.
- Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications and repairs.
- Develop and maintain resource‑loaded project schedules.
- Manage project document control.
- Procure materials and consumables; pre‑qualify vendors and develop RFQs.
- Act as Quality Control / Quality Assurance representative as required.
- Organize and manage subcontractors.
- Assume additional responsibilities as directed; travel as required for meetings, site visits, training.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Outdoor work in various temperatures and conditions.
- Wear PPE (respirators, fall protection, etc.).
- Travel on land, water, and aircraft.
- Sit, stand, lift, climb, pull, push, squat for various periods.
- Ability to relocate as needed.
- $80,000–$90,000 (commensurate with experience).
