Job SummaryThe Commercial Diver / Tender’s prime responsibility is to support construction activities by performing work as directed by the Project Manager / Dive Supervisor.

- Diploma from an ADCE compliant commercial dive school
- Current ADCI certification for the type of diving performed
- Current ADCI compliant dive physical
- First Aid, CPR, AED, Oxygen Administration certifications
- OSHA 10‑Hour – Construction
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- 1+ year experience in commercial diving operations
- Heavy equipment operation (if qualified)
- Read and follow dive tables, altitude and treatment tables
- Check and maintain diving equipment (helmets, masks, tanks, harnesses, gauges)
- Strong hand‑eye coordination and hearing for safety warnings
- Effective communication with surface workers and divers while running a dive station
- Cut and weld steel, use underwater welding, burning equipment, jigs, and supports
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and appropriate tools
- Work at heights up to 50 ft. or more, in confined spaces, and climb ladders or steps
- Wear PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, safety‑toed boots, etc.)
- Lifting, pushing, and moving arms above shoulder level; walk moderate distances; sit in operator’s seat of equipment
- Complete closed‑loop operations: receive instructions, observe, respond, and record findings
- Contribute to daily Job Hazard Analysis and safety culture
- Travel and work remote for many weeks if required
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and good communication skills
- Equipment set‑up and breakdown
- Equipment load‑out and maintenance
- Jetting / dredging operations
- Dive tending and rack box operation
- In‑water work assignments (decompression chamber, video documentation, burning / welding, hand and power tool use, pneumatic / hydraulic and percussion tool use, cutting tools, crane rigging and signaling, flag or barricade placement, spotting, salvage, or environmental operations)
- Additional duties as directed
- Move heavy objects (94 lbs. or more) short distances (≤20 ft.)
- Move light objects (≤94 lbs.) long distances (≥20 ft.)
- Work long shifts with non‑standard break times
- Possible exposure to weather conditions, blood‑borne pathogens, chemicals, and varying surfaces
- Perform physical activities requiring arms, legs, and full body movement (climbing, lifting, balancing, stooping)
- Operate in a field environment and be mindful of hazard analysis
- $25–$45 per hour (commensurate with experience)
