Base pay range: $73,189.05/yr – $/yr. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
PurposeThe Servicing Supervisor oversees and performs thorough, accurate, and compliant loan servicing and related functions. The position ensures timely execution of all core servicing activities across all loan types, supports staff development, maintains investor and secondary market compliance, and assists members with loan‑related inquiries or escalations.
Functions- Promote the Credit Union and its services by providing knowledgeable assistance to members or referring them to appropriate departments. Supervise and provide guidance to Servicing Department staff, including training, scheduling, workflow coordination, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee all loan servicing functions, including payment or payoff processing, escrow monitoring and disbursement, releases, transportation requests, loan modifications, replat requests, re amortization requests, early termination of PMI reviews, successor‑in‑interest considerations, claims processing, credit dispute resolution and reviews, ancillary product refund requests, and account corrections.
- Manage investor and secondary market activities, ensuring proper delivery of loans, reconciliation of accounts, and compliance with investor and regulatory requirements to include monthly and quarterly reporting requirements.
- Maintain accurate loan records and ensure adherence to Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Prepare and review annual disclosures and reports, including escrow analyses, tax statements, PMI documentation, HMDA, and other investor‑required reporting.
- Coordinate construction loan disbursement activity, including monitoring project progress and collaborating with staff to schedule site inspections.
- Monitor delinquencies, initiate borrower outreach, document repayment arrangements, and assist management with escalations, foreclosure recommendations, and coordination with legal counsel as needed.
- Oversee the proper organization, retention, and disposal of central loan file records in accordance with regulatory and institutional requirements.
- Support management in the preparation of reports for loan watch, investor audits, and regulatory compliance, identifying trends and emerging risks.
- Collaborate with internal departments and third‑party vendors to resolve issues, improve processes, and ensure timely and accurate servicing.
- Serve as a resource for staff and management on complex loan servicing issues, providing guidance, problem‑solving, and decision‑making support.
- Assist with department planning, process improvement initiatives, and compliance audits to enhance operational efficiency and member satisfaction.
- Provide backup to the Credit Risk Supervisor for the collection and management of loan portfolio.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Credit Risk Manager or VP of Risk and Compliance.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in business, finance, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in loan servicing at a financial institution, including familiarity with investor or secondary market programs such as AHFC, VA, and FNMA.
- Knowledge of loan recording, discharge, conveyance, and reconveyance procedures, as well as servicing systems is strongly preferred.
- High integrity, confidentiality, and sound judgment with personal habits above reproach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Self‑motivated and proactive, with a high degree of initiative and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop staff, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with computer applications, including servicing, transactional, or collection systems.
- Knowledge of investor, regulatory, and Credit Union servicing requirements, including secondary market loans and reporting standards.
