Cna-Ltc-Wasilla-Ak

Provides direct personal care and activities of daily living support to residents in a long-term care setting under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Promotes resident dignity, independence and safety. Observes and reports changes in resident condition and documents care provided.

• High School Diploma or equivalent:
  Required
• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience:
  Preferred

• Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state of practice:
  Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification:
  Required

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility.
• Assist with meal service, feeding and hydration and document intake as required.
• Take and record vital signs and weights as directed by the licensed nurse.
• Observe residents for changes in physical or behavioral condition and report promptly to the charge nurse.
• Use proper transfer, lifting and positioning techniques to maintain resident and staff safety.
• Document care provided and follow infection control and safety policies.
