The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Nurse Practitioner Team Coverage is responsible for providing direct patient care in assigned areas.

SCF programs serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI), and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should understand the cultures and needs of this population to support SCF’s vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness, and its mission to work together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services.

• Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Alaska.
• Current certification by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
• Meets all requirements to obtain associate medical staff membership and privileges of service.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Additional certifications such as ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO, and PALS may be required depending on specialty and scope of practice.

Compliance with SCF’s Employee Health Procedure is mandatory. All job-related health screening and immunizations must be completed prior to your first day of employment. For HCP positions, documentation of immunizations including MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, T-dap, and COVID-19 vaccination is required before employment begins.

SCF follows a policy of Native preference in hiring, contracting, and training under P.L. 93-638, as amended. Certification from SCF Human Resources is required to receive this preference.
