• Safety, security, shrink prevention – secure doors and gates, report shoplifting and theft, maintain inventory and shrink budget integrity.
• Operational improvement – recommend strategies to reduce waste, analyze impact on customers, pursue self‑development.
• Front‑end responsibilities – oversee checkout and customer service activities, ensure proper headcount, manage cash and register pulls, support customer service desk, perform payroll closeout.
• Back‑end responsibilities – drive efficiencies in receiving, stocking, assembly, freight flow, delivery staging; keep shelves stocked and clear.
• Manager‑on‑Duty (MOD) – provide full leadership, walk the store, coach in‑the‑moment, manage associate response to call buttons, keep aisles clean.

• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent experience in lieu of education.
• Five years of experience in a retail environment.
• Experience providing direction or supervision to teams.
• Experience supporting or mentoring and developing associates.
• Experience working cross‑functionally.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales‑related licensure or registration as required by law.

• Experience supporting front‑end or back‑end operations in a retail environment.
• Experience in a customer service role.
• Experience in a leadership role with direct report responsibility.
• Experience in the home improvement retail sector.
• Experience in a fast‑paced, dynamic retail environment.
• Experience in a key‑carrying role with manager‑on‑duty responsibilities.
• Experience using store computer systems (e.g., Project Tool, Genesis, Sterling, M2O, Thin Client).
