The Merchandiser will assist with product selection and placement within stores for seasonal changeouts, promotions, and everyday products. The role involves proposing and implementing resets, new item placement, promotional displays, and seasonal area plans to maximize turns and profit margins, while monitoring merchandising standards for on-shelf and display products.

• Assist with timely seasonal display changeouts.
• Assist merchandising of new products and seasonal changeouts in accordance with company standards.
• Execute endcap plans.
• Execute aisle resets and planograms in response to changing market conditions and customer shopping patterns.
• Ensure and assist with the timely execution of merchandising plans.
• Monitor the flow of merchandise in back rooms, storage areas, and the shelf to ensure all necessary product is on the floor and available for sale.
• Monitor appropriate signage and pricing execution.
• Monitor front end cash register merchandising to maximize ROI on these high-impulse, high-traffic areas.
• Travel to stores to evaluate overall execution of merchandising plans, shelf conditions, and adherence to merchandising standards.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 5 years retail experience required.
• Combination of post-secondary education and related experience may substitute for retail experience requirement.

Work performed in a store setting with frequent computer usage, requiring strength, dexterity, coordination, and visual acuity to use keyboard and video display terminal and other office equipment. Tasks include continuous standing, walking, reaching at/below shoulders, and lifting up to 10 pounds below waist, up to 20 pounds at waist/chest, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
