Experts of operations, process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation, pricing and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store. This team leads Food & Beverage and Food Service, providing a fresh and food safe experience.

Experts enable efficient delivery to guests by owning pick, pack and ship fulfillment work.

• Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store
• Experience in retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory management, and process efficiency and improvement
• Experience executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals

• Execute a detailed, accurate and efficient sorting operation
• Stock, organize and store reserve product and straighten merchandise on the sales floor
• Maintain product availability on the sales floor for GM categories
• Operate powered equipment as necessary while unloading freight or moving merchandise
• Process defective merchandise and handle environmentally sensitive (ESIM) items in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
• Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup (OPU) and Drive Up (DU) and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, including compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
• When guests need assistance, engage with guests to help solve their specific needs
• Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target
• All other duties based on business needs

• You enjoy interacting and helping others — including guests and fellow team members
• You thrive in a fast-moving, active and physically demanding role where teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem solving are key
• You are open to a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and other peak shopping times)

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology as directed
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
• Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established time frames

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
• Climb up and down ladders
• Scan, handle and move merchandise safely, including lifting or moving up to 44 pounds
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends and holidays) and reliable attendance
• Capable of working in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing duties
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift
