** This position works 12**-hour shifts (7pm-7am), including 4 hours of overtime per shift**, allowing you to work fewer days each week while still maintaining a full-time schedule. Depending on the schedule, employees can enjoy
** 3–4 days off each week**, giving you more time to spend with family, pursue personal interests, or simply recharge.  This position also pays an additional .50/hour wage.

Position Summary:

The Group Home Direct Support Provider (GH-DSP) will oversee the daily operations of the group home, ensuring a supportive, and nurturing environment for the residents. The GH-DSP provides compassionate, person-centered support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities served by MSSCA. The DSP promotes independence, inclusion, and quality of life by assisting with daily living activities, community engagement, and individualized care plans.

This role is essential to fulfilling our mission and empowering individuals with disabilities.

Essential Functions and Tasks:  
• Understand, practice, and promote the vision and core values of Mat-Su Services for Children & Adults.  
• Assist residents with hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, and mobility as needed.  
• Assist with meal preparation, household chores, and transportation.  
• Support individuals with learning, habilitative, and life skills working towards their goals.  
• Assist and supervise consumers with guardian approved self-administration of medications.  
• Assist with mobility, including use of wheelchairs, walkers, and transfers as needed.  
• Encourage and support participation in community activities, social outings, volunteering and employment programs.  
• Promote and model respectful and inclusive behavior in all community settings.  
• Implement, follow, and adhere to individual service plans consistently and compassionately.  
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided, incidents, medication assistance, and progress notes.  
• Communicate effectively with families, guardians, case managers, and other support team members.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times, following agency policies and state regulations.  
• Advocate for the rights, dignity, and personal choices of the consumers.
