Head Academic Teacher; Pre-K to 3rd Grade

Ummul Qura Islamic School is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and qualified female educator to serve as the Head Academic Teacher for our Pre-K to 3rd Grade program. This leader will oversee all academic planning and instruction, support and supervise classroom teachers, and ensure high standards of learning and development for our students.

• Lead and supervise academic planning and curriculum implementation.
• Support, observe, and guide all classroom teachers.
• Ensure age-appropriate curriculum alignment with academic standards.
• Plan and conduct teacher training and professional development.
• Monitor student progress and coordinate assessments.
• Collaborate with the school principal and Islamic Studies/Hifz coordinators.
• Maintain a positive, nurturing, and professional academic environment.
• Ensure academic excellence while aligning with Islamic values.

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or Early Childhood Education (Master’s preferred).
• Valid teaching certification (preferred).
• Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience, ideally in lower elementary grades.
• Previous experience in a leadership or coordinator role.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood and elementary curriculum standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
• Passion for education and commitment to holistic child development.

• Experience in Islamic school settings.
• Familiarity with integrating Islamic values into general education.
• Training in child-centered or inquiry-based learning models (Montessori, Reggio, etc.).
