We seek an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management experience or three key positions. The role includes day‑to‑day store operations, leading and developing employees, recruiting and retaining talent, maximizing financial results, and managing customer relations. The Assistant Store Manager partners with the Store Manager to analyze financial statements, uphold asset protection, and promote the business.
Responsibilities Of An Assistant Store Manager- Facilitate a customer‑centric environment, engaging customers professionally and resolving issues promptly.
- Assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through company‑prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, count cash drawers and merchandise, and ensure procedures protect assets.
- Maintain asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
- Administer store processes, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, presentation, systems, and reporting.
- Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes for value and integrity.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self‑development.
- Communicate clearly with employees about mission and profit objectives.
- Remain current on product knowledge.
- Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Willing and able to perform physical duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 pounds).
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- Available to assist customers outside the store and in exterior storage areas.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Flexibility to work multiple locations and a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Commit to a minimum 40+ hour work week; hours are not guaranteed.
- Computer literate, able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
- Multi‑tasking capability in a fast‑paced environment.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Analytical skills.
- Cash handling experience required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.
Commission plan information will be provided during the interview process. Assistant Store Managers may earn 2–8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance.
