Position Overview

As an Automotive Service Department BDC / Service Cashier, you will be responsible for managing inbound and outbound customer communications, scheduling service appointments, and ensuring a smooth and efficient service experience for our customers. This role combines aspects of customer service, business development, and cashier responsibilities, making it ideal for a detail‑oriented, organized professional who thrives in a collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Interaction:
    Answer and make phone calls to schedule service appointments, follow up on customer inquiries, and provide updates on service progress.
  • Appointment Scheduling:
    Coordinate with service advisors and technicians to schedule appointments efficiently and meet customer demands.
  • Cashiering Duties:
    Process payments, handle cash and card transactions accurately, and provide receipts.
  • BDC Support:
    Support the Business Development Center by maintaining an active customer pipeline and following up on leads.
  • Customer Satisfaction:
    Address customer questions and concerns, ensuring an excellent experience.
  • Administrative Support:
    Assist with filing, data entry, and documentation of customer transactions and service histories.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    High School diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in customer service or automotive services is a plus.
  • Experience:

    Minimum of 1 year in a customer service role, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
    • Proficiency with scheduling software and basic computer skills.
    • Attention to detail, especially with handling cash and processing payments.
