Who are we looking for?

The position of Technical Service Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day engineering support for Printed Circuit Board fabricators using Mac Dermid Alpha's chemical processes. The successful candidate will help our customer base take full advantage of the benefits that are available through the proper application of our products. The position requires a proactive-starter that can work closely and independently with customers, the sales group, and Mac Dermid internal resources to ensure that customer expectations and company interests are served while helping to service and promote Mac Dermid Alpha's exclusive line of products.

What

will you be doing?
  • Prepare action plans for effective identification of root cause of customer process issues.
  • Provide timely commercial feedback to team members and management.
  • Create and conduct customer technical presentations and reports.
  • Identify commercial opportunities through awareness of customers' quality and engineering difficulties.
  • Perform regular health checks and process audits for various production processes at customer sites, generate reports and review with end users.
  • Assist with regular lab testing functions/analysis with customer lab personnel and provide training when necessary on best practice functions, tests and analysis.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and/or process problems and provide hands‑on support to correct problems and optimize customer manufacturing processes.
  • Adhere to plant and corporate safety policies.
  • May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.
  • Coordinate daily activities with territory Account Manager and Business Director.
  • Be an expert and steward for customer final product quality using Mac Dermid products.
  • Identify opportunities for growth at all customer locations.
  • Assist with the monitoring and control of on‑hand inventory at customer site.
Who are You?
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or relevant industry.
  • Strong understanding of chemistry and chemical interaction within the PCB manufacturing process.
  • Strong track record of navigating technically through complex organizations.
  • Six Sigma knowledge would be good but not required; company training available.
