Speech Language Pathologist Inpatient

Overview

Trinity Health of New England is looking for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join the Acute Care rehabilitation department at Saint Mary’s Hospital. The SLP is responsible for performing evaluations, direct patient treatment, and documentation for patients with mild-moderate cognitive deficits, neurological disorders, and swallowing/oral motor impairment. The SLP identifies appropriate goals and develops treatment plans to respond to those goals.

• Performs comprehensive evaluations.
• Establishes functional goals based on evaluation results, targeting deficit areas to help patients achieve maximum functional independence.
• Provides professional interaction with patients, family members, interdisciplinary team members, and other staff members and colleagues.
• Completes all documentation in accordance with professional, organizational, and regulatory compliance standards.

• Education:
  
  Graduate of an accredited program with a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• State of Connecticut Speech-Language Pathology Licensure.
