HR Generalist
A well-established manufacturing company in Waterbury, CT is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join their team. This is a hands-on role supporting employees and managers across a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and employee relations
- Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee documentation
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring for hourly and salaried positions
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
- Handle employee relations matters and help address workplace concerns
- Assist with benefits administration and employee questions
- Support payroll processes and ensure accurate employee information
- Assist with performance management, attendance tracking, and disciplinary processes
- Ensure compliance with company policies and federal/state employment regulations
- Assist with HR reporting, audits, and other administrative projects
- Partner with management to support employee engagement and retention initiatives
- Help develop and maintain HR policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of HR Generalist or similar HR experience
- Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, or other fast-paced onsite environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, and employment laws
- Experience with an HRIS/payroll system; ADP experience is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Comfortable working independently and partnering with employees at all levels
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field preferred

The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who is comfortable being visible and accessible to employees in a manufacturing environment. This person should be able to balance day-to-day HR administration with employee relations, recruiting, and compliance responsibilities.
Compensation: $65,
