Overview

This full‑time position is a 12‑hour day shift (36 hours/week) in a multidisciplinary Med/Surg, Orthopedics and Neuro unit. The unit uses an innovative Together Team Model that includes a Virtual RN to support bedside staff and enhance communication.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver compassionate, evidence‑based nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical needs.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Monitor patient progress, administer medications, and perform treatments in accordance with hospital protocols.
  • Educate patients and families on post‑operative care, rehabilitation, and recovery processes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
  • Valid RN license in Connecticut.
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • One or more years of experience in medical‑surgical, orthopedics or neuro care within an acute inpatient setting.
  • BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
Position Highlights
  • Schedule:

    Full time 36 hours/week – Day Shift.
  • Rotation:
    Every 3rd weekend and every other holiday.
