Minimum Qualifications
- Education:
Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred. - Licensure:
Current and valid Connecticut RN license. - Experience:
Minimum of 1 year in an acute inpatient setting. - Certifications:
BLS or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
Work Schedule (Full-time 36 hours, nights)
- 12-hour shifts – 7p to 7:30a.
- Schedule:
Weekend & holidays are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Monitoring:
Continuously assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and document clinical progress. - Medication Administration:
Deliver oncology-specific treatments with attention to accurate dosing, monitoring, and documentation. - Patient & Family
Education:
Provide clear, empathetic education on diagnoses, treatments, and self-care strategies. - Interdisciplinary
Collaboration:
Partner with physicians and healthcare teams to monitor neurological status, cognitive function, motor skills, and sensory responses.
