Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Operating Room position requiring Trauma Level II experience and at least 1 year of OR nursing experience.

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required;
  Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Charting system experience required (any system accepted)
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Experience with universal protocol (time out) procedures, specimen handling/labeling, and urinary catheterization
• Prior travel nursing experience required

• Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
• Treats adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• 4x10 or 5x8 day shift schedules available, 6:45a-3:15p or 6:45a-5:15p
• Weekend coverage required every third weekend
• Call required one weekday per week and one weekend per month, 24-hour coverage Sat/Sun
• Uses Cerner for documentation, Omnicell for medication management, and SBAR for communication
• Wide variety of surgical case exposure including general, gynecologic, orthopedic, podiatric, neurologic, trauma, and robotic-assisted procedures
• Perform circulating and/or scrub duties across a broad range of surgical specialties including general, gynecologic, orthopedic, neurologic, vascular, cardiovascular, urologic, bariatric, and robotic-assisted procedures
• Scrubs provided
• Candidates within 75 miles are considered local and subject to a reduced pay rate
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
