Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level II Trauma Center experience and a CT or compact RN license.

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required, specifically in a Level I or II trauma facility
• Level II Trauma Center experience required
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Skilled in triage, IV therapy/phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, and blood product administration
• Experience with neurological and CVA patient care
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and obtaining 12 lead EKG/ECG

• Level II Trauma Center Emergency Department treating a combined adult/pediatric patient population including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Inner city ED setting with a 1:4 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours,
• 36 or 48 hour schedules accepted
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Uses Accudose and Omnicell medication systems
• Documents in Cerner and communicates using SBAR
• First time travelers accepted for this unit
• Provide emergency care across a mixed adult and pediatric inner city patient population
• Perform triage and manage a range of emergency presentations including cardiac and neurological cases
• Dark blue scrubs required
• Must reside within a 75 mile radius to be eligible for local candidacy at a lower bill rate
