Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a CT or compact RN license and Trauma Level II experience.

• Active CT or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required;
  Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Experience with any charting system required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Proficient in specimen handling/labeling, Universal Protocol (time out) procedures, and urinary bladder catheterization

• Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
• Serves adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Performs a broad range of general, gynecological, orthopedic, plastics, neurology, cardiovascular, vascular, urology, robotic, bariatric, and thoracic surgical procedures
• Uses Omnicell medication system, Cerner documentation system, and SBAR communication method
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (6:45a-3:15p) or 4x10 hours (6:45a-5:15p), 40 hours per week
• Weekend coverage required every third weekend
• Call required one weekday per week and one weekend per month (24-hour Sat/Sun coverage)
• Scrubs provided
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this unit
• Candidates residing within 75 miles are considered local and subject to a reduced pay rate
