The Department of Disabilities, Aging, and Independent Living is seeking a team-orientated Administrative Services Coordinator III with very strong customer service and administrative skills to provide high level administrative and operational support within the department. This role requires exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to manage complex administrative tasks, coordinate departmental activities and support leadership initiatives.
Candidate must be able to juggle multiple priorities and perform complex tasks involving state and federal programs. Must be a self-starter and have excellent computer skills.
This position, Administrative Services Coordinator III (Job Requisition #55893), is open to all State employees and external applicants.
Work is performed in a standard office setting.
Minimum QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent AND four (4) years or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization INCLUDING one (1) year or more in an accounting or budgeting function and experience as a supervisor of clerical or administrative staff.
OR
One year of full-time college level study in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field AND three (3) years or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization INCLUDING one (1) year or more in an accounting or budgeting function and experience as a supervisor of clerical or administrative staff.
OR
Two years of full-time college level study OR an associate's degree or higher in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field AND two (2) years or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization INCLUDING one (1) year or more in an accounting or budgeting function and experience as a supervisor of clerical or administrative staff.
OR
Three years of full-time college level study in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field AND one (1) year or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization INCLUDING one (1) year or more in an accounting or budgeting function and experience as a supervisor of clerical or administrative staff.
OR
Four years of full-time college level study OR a bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field.
OR
One (1) year or more as an Administrative Services Coordinator II with the State of Vermont
NOTE:
Only administrative work experience is qualifying. Administrative support includes those functions which keep the organization running or provide the resources for others to provide the programmatic work (e.g., accounting, budget management, grant administration, finance, human resources, payroll, purchasing, or space management).
For some positions experience working with the VISION system (VISION is the State of Vermont People Soft financial management system) may be required.
