We are seeking experienced engineering staff for the Electrical and I&C Systems department at the Millstone Power Station in Waterford, CT. Two positions are available, filled at levels matching the candidate’s education and experience. The role involves supporting electrical systems engineering for Millstone Units 2 & 3, including monitoring electrical system health, preparing technical evaluations, developing maintenance strategies, and supporting design change documentation.
Candidates should have familiarity with nuclear power plant design, particularly electrical distribution and instrumentation & control systems. Training will be provided.
Engineering Technical Specialist II candidates will lead small groups and work with minimal supervision. Level III candidates will lead larger groups and work independently, potentially leading efforts to improve and sustain equipment reliability.
The role involves providing technical support, analysis, and project management for complex projects, with or without an engineering degree (not necessarily ABET-accredited).
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience- Engineering Technical Specialist II: 2-3+ years of relevant experience
- Engineering Technical Specialist III: 5+ years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of engineering principles, ability to apply technical skills, design systems, and communicate effectively
- Proficiency with computer software
- Educational qualifications include a 4-year degree in engineering or related disciplines, or equivalent experience
- Same as above: 4-year degree in engineering or related fields, or equivalent experience
Conditions include confined spaces, cold, energized wires, fumes, heat, loud noise, machinery operation, outdoor work, office environment, radiation, and travel, each up to 25% of the time.
