Under the general direction of nursing leadership and with provider collaboration and guidance, the Registered Nurse utilizes evidence‑based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act and policies and procedures of Hartford Healthcare Hospital Outpatient Departments (HODs) and Medical Group, in a variety of clinical settings. This position facilitates care for a varied population of patients, which includes nursing standards of practice to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of the patient and family.
Urodynamics Registered Nurse will provide coverage at Norwich and Waterford Urology offices.
Responsibilities- Provides nursing care within a non‑acute setting in collaboration with the inter‑disciplinary team and provider according to the patients physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs.
- Coordinates and provides holistic patient‑centered care.
- Utilizes evidence‑based practice in accordance with the department and/or medical group policies and procedures to ensure safe quality care and customer service.
- Incorporates the art, advocacy, science and ethics in nursing effectively in daily practice.
- Demonstrates and actively supports research utilization through inquiring into evidence‑based practices.
- Evaluates and reviews the plan of care working with the interdisciplinary team to meet the diverse needs of the patient and family.
- Identifies and reliably documents problems and expected outcomes based on a plan of care for a varied population of patients.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Associate’s degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
- Successful completion of nurse residency, if applicable.
- One year of experience with a minimum of 1000 hours of clinical experience as a licensed registered nurse.
- Registered Nurse, State of CT.
- Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Urodynamics experience. Additional certifications may be required in specific specialties.
