Medical Oncology Waterford - Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant
Location Detail: 5 Dayton Road Waterford (10535)
Shift Detail: Mon-Fri
Schedule: Part Time – 30 hours, 3 days/week (10-hour shifts)
Responsibilities- Provide value‑based outpatient oncology care in a practice‑based setting.
- Conduct triage and manage a full spectrum of outpatient services, including benign hematology visits, sick/urgent visits, chemotherapy education and teaching visits, and bone marrow aspiration procedures.
- Oversee infusion follow‑up appointments and coordinate ongoing survivorship care.
- Assist in building and expanding a comprehensive cancer program within the East Region.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver compassionate, high‑quality care to cancer patients.
- Participate in professional development opportunities through partnerships with Memorial Sloan‑Kettering Cancer Center.
- Eligibility to be licensed in Connecticut as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
- Eligibility for PA or national board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), or Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP).
- Certified Chemotherapy Biotherapy provider card.
- Oncology clinical experience as a PA, NP, or RN is preferred.
