Overview

Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) (T1267) rting hourly rate: $18.25 USD per hour.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs and resolve concerns.
• Make guests aware of current promos, store activities and events.
• Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store, and in your area, to solve issues and improve the guest experience.
• Thank guests and let them know you’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
• Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed.
• Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with safety standards and company best practices.
• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
• Explain how to use features and offerings within the Target App, including Wallet; be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering, and help guests enroll, activate and use these features.
• Handle returns by following prompts and partnering with leaders as needed, while adhering to Target policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during store hours while remaining available to assist guests.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as order pick up, Drive-up orders and returns, and comply with applicable laws (e.g., beverage laws where applicable).
• All other duties based on business needs.

• Accurately handle checkout operations, transactions, and support cash office operations as needed.
• Scan and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 44 pounds occasionally without assistance.
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance required.
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift.
• Comfort with varying temperatures and environments, including Drive-Up and other duties.
