Joining us as a Team Leader
, you’ll provide leadership to a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate the seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office.
You’ll serve as the front-line manager to provide leadership and development of tax office associates, delivering an outstanding client experience and achieving office-related growth objectives.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership and development of tax office associates to deliver an outstanding client experience.
- Lead daily activities to ensure that all tax office work is completed on time with quality standards, priorities, and goals.
- Build an engaging team environment by training and coaching associates to execute Service Standards and recognize contributions.
- Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.
- Create associate work schedules, manage timekeeping and overtime, and ensure proper scheduling.
- Prepare tax returns as required and act as a knowledgeable resource on tax topics and products for associates.
- Develop local growth plans in partnership with leadership and manage office community involvement.
- Assist with recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions; support escalation handling and client service resolution.
- Support performance management and address associate issues in collaboration with relevant partners.
- Multi-unit people management experience in retail, restaurant, banking, or related industries (preferred).
- 2+ years as a Tax Professional (preferred).
- Prior experience in customer service, shift leadership, or similar roles; experience supervising or managing people.
- Completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course if preparing tax returns.
- Annual continuing education and ability to meet IRS and state requirements.
- Proficiency with MS Office and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexible schedule and adaptability to business needs; high school diploma or equivalent or higher.

Pay Range InformationThe pay range for this position is listed below; local minimum wage laws apply. Individual pay decisions depend on experience, education, skills, performance, and location. Eligible associates may participate in incentive plans and benefit programs as described by policy.

: $15.00 - $65.00/hr
