The Capture Group of Open Text Enterprise Content Management platforms division is focusing on the development and maintenance of the Capture product line. The Capture technology transforms electronic and paper documents into application-ready information providing a flexible, end-to-end capture solution that includes document capture, document classification, data extraction, information validation, and delivery to backend system.

Your Impact:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer who shares our passion for developing and maintaining the Enterprise Capture product line. Open Text’s Capture solutions are deployed both on premise and in the cloud. Open Text Capture technology transforms digital and paper business documents into application-ready information providing a flexible, end-to-end capture solution that includes document capture, classification, data extraction, information validation, and delivery to line of business or backend systems.

What the role offers:

As a Senior Software Developer, you will:

Create and maintain technical documentation

Design and develop Capture components related to capture, processing, and recognition of business documents

Own end-to-end; design, development, validation and test automation, deployment, and support in production.

Work closely with Quality Development to review test plans and test cases

Provide technical guidance for major software initiatives, including technology standardization and modernization.

Provide technical team leadership: distribute tasks, track progress, technical risk assessment, problem solving, early risk notification, report progress and status to manager.

Perform all assigned jobs with minimal assistance from the supervisor

Respond promptly and professionally to bug reports and client escalations

What you need to succeed:

Bachelors, MS or PhD in CS or a related technical field and 3+ years of enterprise software development experience5+ years of software development experience using Microsoft Development Environment and tools

Required Expert-level C# development experience with modern .NET (.NET 8/9/10+)Strong working knowledge of Windows internals and native interop, including P/Invoke, COM, 32-bit vs. 64-bit constraints, and integration with third-party native SDKs.Practical understanding of cross-platform constraints in .NET, including Windows-only APIs (GDI+/System.Drawing, Registry, Event Log, WMI, DPAPI), their limitations on Linux, and portable alternatives.

Proficiency with MSBuild, SDK-style projects, multi-targeting, and NuGet package authoring and dependency management.

Experience with Dockers and related containerization technology, Kubernetes or related orchestration software, Helm Visual Studio Code with the C# dev kit or any other Linux based IDE.  GNU Compiler family or alternatives

Experience with AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform Strong background in Client/server architecture

Experience building microservices and distributed systems

Strong expertise about data structures, operating systems, distributed systems,  multithreading…
