Summary

The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Division of Community Access, Bureau of Child Support Services is seeking an Administrative Assistant 1 (AA1) to join our team!

To help families of Iowa successfully navigate and understand the importance of providing both financial and emotional support for their children and build relationships with the parents to ensure they are successful. Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will involve specialized technical and administrative work, supporting local program objectives to ensure statewide success. This position requires a highly motivated, organized individual with excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills. Comprehend and adhere to the confidentiality provisions stated in the Code of Iowa. Produce work with extreme accuracy. Prioritize complex tasks and time to meet established performance goals and critical deadlines.

Provide complete and accurate program information when working with internal and external customers.

Requirements
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability/willingness to learn new software
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Someone that is able to travel occasionally
Hours, Work Location, and Requirements

This is a full-time opportunity, Monday – Friday with hours being from 8:00 a.m.

- 4:30 p.m.

Upon successful completion of the training period and with management approval, this position offers a hybrid work opportunity, working from the office as scheduled, and from home.
