UX/UI Designer

Slack is looking for a storyteller-designer — an UX/UI Designer who can carry an idea from napkin to launch. Everything here scales with you — $46,000 - $66,000 at 3 years, creative ownership soon after, and a Slack ladder above.

• Shape the visual language of Slack's social, email, and ad creative
• Knit copy and art into a single argument instead of two parallel monologues
• Translate dense product specs into visuals a tired commuter grasps instantly
• Build the proudly-nerdy pitch deck that wins the $46,000 - $66,000 account in the room
• Translate abstract briefs into clear, zero-bureaucracy visual directions
• Prototype interactions in Design Systems and refine them through usability testing
• Craft layouts, typography, and imagery that elevate the Slack experience

• Strong rapport-building skills and a genuinely positive presence
• Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a tight-knit team
• Eagerness to take ownership and run with new responsibilities
• The kind of empathy that makes hard feedback land softly
• Willingness to relocate to Sioux City, IA, or to make remote work

For all its deeply-curious ambition, Slack still operates like the scrappy Sioux City startup that first cracked creative years ago. We onboard you to the creative mission first and the Information Architecture tooling second, in that order.

What you get for saying yes: $46,000 - $66,000, a mentor in your corner, full benefits, and hours that flex toward what matters in Sioux City.
